Asociacion Vivir was founded in 1987 with a fundamental objective: work in health promotion from a more human and integral view allowing individuals and comunities to experience a more proactive participation.

Our experiences and educational programs have been replicated in more than 18 provinces of Ecuador, and recently, for these active and innovative proposals, we have been elected by the World Health OrganizationÂ (WHO)as one of the 15 models on Health Promotion to be followed in the XXIst century.

Mariana Galarza, our Executive President, has been invited by the US Government, to participate in the â€œWhite House Conference on the Americasâ€, which will be preside by the US President George W. Bush and the First Lady, on Monday July the 9th and will take place in the White House.
